秋田独自の中門造りのかやぶき屋根

"Chuumonn-dukuri" is the construction that there is a part protruding from the main building (middle gate).
Buildings found in Akita, Yamagata, Niigata etc., the middle gate was a passage to the main house, a horse hut to put in and out horses, a toilet, a hay storage place, etc. It was used for various purposes.
It is the wisdom of life that was created in a snowy area, so that it could not go out in the winter and was shut, for easy living.
「中門造り（ちゅうもんづくり ）」とは母屋から突き出た部分（中門）がある造りのことです。
秋田、山形、新潟などに見られる造りで、中門は母屋への通路だったり、馬を出し入れする厩（うまや）、トイレ、干し草置き場だったり色々な用途で使用されました。
雪深い地域で、冬に外出できず閉ざされた期間、暮らしやすいように造り出された生活の知恵です。
