向山の家、火事で焼けてしまったよ・・・。
突然の電話で知らされた。
春の桜、夏の木々、秋の紅葉、冬の雪・・・
季節ごとに美しい姿を大野ダムの湖面に映してくれたかやぶき屋根の民家が焼失してしまった
悲しい・・・

おじさん、何しているの？ えっ それカメラなの？
昭和40年代でも暗箱カメラがわかる子供はいませんでした。
畳くらい大きく拡大してプリントしても見ごたえのある写真を残したい
重いカメラと三脚を担いで、失われてゆく日本の風景を撮りました。

静かに春を待ちます、
やがて降り積もる雪が
現実の姿をすっかり変えて
メルヘンの世界に
誘ってくれます
かやぶき屋根の民家が最も日本らしい美しい
姿を見せてくれる季節です。
